Unearned IncomeIncome other than pay for work performed. Interest and dividends from savings or investments are common types of unearned income.
Unemployment CompensationUnemployment compensation generally includes any amount received under an unemployment compensation law of the United States or of a state. In most cases, it is taxable. Unemployment income is not considered earned income for the purposes of calculating EITC.
